Konica 1216 copier makes black dark copies

I bought a preowned copier yesterday, Konica 12 which spits out black dark copies as if the paper was burned before it came out of the machine.
The machine has toner and its count is 56,000
I need your assistance

Do you mean the whole page is black, or are there small pieces of paper coming out??
