problem :- after cd software installation and phone USB connection and the cable bells out correctly the pc won't see the phone connected. The phone knows it is connected as it tell me not to disconnect from the PC.

Did you restart your computer after software install?
Sometimes you need to restart if you just installed the software WITH the phone plugged in at your usb port.
You may try the windows trouble shooter by clicking the start then control panel then printers and other hardware then scanners and cameras then on the left under imaging tasks click "add an imaging device" then the "camera and imaging device" wizard window will come up. From there select the "have a disc button". Place your disc in cd rom drive and click o.k.
After you have done this you will have to restart your computer also, in some instances.
Try these two things and let me know how it worked.
