What are the meanings of the police 10 codes?

You use to be able to go to Radio Shack and they would give you a sheet of the codes for free and their meanings. But i don't know if they still do it for free or not.

Where do i get free police scanner frequency at what site is one site that offers frequencies. the easiest way though is to go to Radio Shack and purchase the scanner frequency book for your state. another alternative is to go to your book store and get the book. If you do a google search for scanner frequencies, sometimes you can get them for free. You might also contact friends who have scanners in your area and get the frequencies from them. The FCC lists all the scanner frequencies, as the people who use them, police, fire, ambulance and also coast guard, are all licensed and this is public info. so google the fcc and check there. I have several scanners and this is how I got my freqs.
