Question about Brother MFC-845CW multi-function All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a brother mfc845cw and it came with the a wireless phone handset. it has been working well until yesterday when it refused to work. The handset cannot find the base unit and i tried to register it but it cannot register. i dont know what might be wrong. I have tried terminating the handset but still i cannot register it. I have tried to switch the machine off and remove the battery from the handset in order to reset it but still it cannot work out for me. i will appreciate if you could help me out with this problem
press menu then start bk-copy then fourtimes arrow-up.
machine will be in maintenance mode.
press 8 then 0 (zero) and then several times til PURGE 96xx (not sure about digits). press 2-7-8-3 and then 9 -9 to leave maintenance.
You have to replace the waistink absorber, too! Without changing you will seriously demamge the machine!

With some Brother printers you can try this.
Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, and then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.
This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, hopefully without the annoying cannot clean message.
Some times this happens because of using cheap compatible ink cartridges if this is the case change the ink cartridges.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
