Is the code a H5 ? Is it a AR-163 or a AR-287? Is the copier making a load noise when making a copy? Basicly, the code means you are have more then 5 paper jams in the fuser & there is a problem there & the copier is locked up.... It's self saving it self
this sounds like you have a jam in your fuser unit.To remove this jam open the door at the left hand side, you should see a green lever to the back end lift up and take paper out, after doing this you then have to reset this error code.To enter service mode press P interupt C interupt key in 14 press start key then press CA.Photocopier should reboot if this does work then you need to get your service engineer out
H-4 is an error code for the fixing assemblyand needs to be reset thru a simulation code, sometimes a power flucuation can cause this error and therefore may not need parts.
when it is done properly the display will go blank
then enter 14
then press the start key, turn the machie off and then back on.
If the code comes back you'll need something for the fixing assembly
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner - I lost track of this question. If you still need this info here it is : H3-00 indicates a temperature problem in the fuser unit. not reaching a certain temperature within a certain time. It could be a thermostat or thermistor problem - both monitor
temperature. you could remove the fuser unit and make sure these items
are clean - no build up on them. there should be a center and side
thermistor. You can reset the error code in SIM mode by pressing
the following keys one after the other "P" "interupt" "C" "interupt"
then 14 and start/copy key. confirm if required. make sure the copier
is restarted afterwards. If the error persists then you may need new thermistors. Hope this helps.
Make sure the copier is in "copy" mode.
To get into service mode press the following keys one after the other "P" key - "interupt" key - "clear" key - "interupt" key (do not play around with setting in service mode as this can render your copier useless)
enter 22 and press "start" enter "7" and press start. This should display the admin code.
Restart the copier and you should be good to go.
