Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
I have around 190 songs on this ipod and it says my ipod has already used up 10gb?? please would you tell me a solution i want to put new songs is currently on version 1.2 it wont lewt me update to version 1.3 it says ur ipod is corrupted or damaged and wen i try to restore it. It says" your ipod has a file in use on windows or something similar
It's a known problem with windows and the 30gb ipod video. itunes 7.7.1 and later will corrupt your ipod beyond repair unless you have a mac. if you have a mac, then you should be able to restore it just fine. also in the past apple "accidently" released a pack of ipod videos with a virus that will only affect windows computers. when the ipod is plugged into a windows computer, it will either cause the blue screen of death or it will leave your ipod corrupted and again can't be fixed without a mac.

Ok, well we need to perform the restore.
unplug the ipod. then plug it back in, make sure noting is useing your ipod, no windows into the ipod disk are open or any programs expt itunes is on. (close everything else you dont need expt itunes)
Then try to restore to a new version.
