My lexmark printer comes up on its screen saying downloading scan applications list from your computer. Please wait. i wait and nothing happens. Please let me know what i am doing wrong. thankyou

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
4. Reboot computer.
5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Please find a full software driver for your printer and also it has to be compatible with your OS ( operating system ) the full software has the scanner and printer software in it . Once u download ! Then install . Start enjoying your device and problem won't occur again

Did you load the CD that came with the scanner? On my model (the 4530), it has to download an "Application List" in order to scan, and once it does, then I can pick the scan buttons on the printer. After it scans once, the Lexmark application will come up on the computer, and you will be able to scan from it's settings. Hope this helps, I had trouble figuring it out till I loaded the CD.

This is my problem also. I get a message "waiting for application list to download." What's the application list? , and then, it will either turn off the indicator or just hang on "scan to computer". I have downloaded the Lexmark drivers but that doesn't help. Please post a solution, thank you.

d Use the arrow buttons to select the quality and original image size, and then press each time you make

Scanning

When using Adobe Photoshop, select File, then Import, and then the Lexmark device. That's the only way I have found, however you should be able to scan through many programs.

try uninstall it then install again

i had the same problem but if you open the Lexmark All-In-One center (can be found in start --> all programs --> lexmark 5400 series --> all-in-one center) and select scan (it will work)

if you dont have the program installed find your installation disk and when u re-install it, it should come up again

No its seem to be some software clashed problem! Try to remove your old software and then try to clean registry and then install again then it should work!
