Blue Screen, lots of codes

I JUST got my computer back after another repair. The repair statement says they replaced a Presario R3320US System Board. I had the 0xC000000E code on the blue screen then.

I got the blue screen again, this time with the codes 0x0000000F4 and 0x00000003. After looking these up on your site, these showed up saying a download is available to fix them.

I also got the codes 0x87DE8020, 0x87DE8194 and 0x80606586. I am not finding information on these.

Can you offer me any help to know what these codes mean, and why am I still having these difficulties? EEK!

Thank you for your time! Laurie

Yes you might try checking your RAM (memory). This sounds like mismatched or bad memory modules all the way. You might make sure you CPU fan and heatsink isn't caked up with dust. An overheating CPU is a nightmare with blue screens too. If it is your CPU then it might be burned up but you can visually look at the fan and see if there is a layer of dust between it and your heatsink. But my guess is memory for sure if your CPU is fine. Hope this helps you.

Hi!! I have a Compaq Presario that a friend gave me a while back that used to work and start up..but it doesn't now and I haven't been on it in months. It keeps saying that: Windows could not

The "Win32 config" system folder and the files within it are crucial to the Windows Operating System's stability. If any of these files become damaged or corrupted, you likely receive error messages. Fortunately, Microsoft puts the files to repair these problems on the installation CD that comes with your operating system. The original install disk offers a quick way to repair the system. Damaged files are replaced in only a few minutes.

Insert your Windows CD into the computer drive. Restart your computer. On startup, look for the message, "Press any key to boot from CD" and press "Enter" on your keyboard. You should see the blue "Welcome to Setup" screen. Click "Enter" on the "Welcome to Setup" screen. Read the "Microsoft Software License Terms," then press "F8." Use your arrow keys, go down and select the Windows installation you want to repair. Press "R" for "Repair." Windows will now start to restore the Win32 System to your computer.

Blue dots on my tv screen

The model indicated is a Plasma set and if blue dots in motion (moving) may be either on the MAIN board (processes all signal) or it is even possible to be a problem on the power supply board.

Most likely a shop repair as someone would have to look, order board/s and actually replace them to find which board is bad.

This is the nature of repairs in all Plasma sets.

Only boards are sold and no individual parts.

Do any wireless networks show up - just not yours? Is your wireless button turned on? It is usually on the top left or on the left side. Some computers have a mechanical switch on the side.

I have a Dell XPs 1210 that has a broken screen. I also have a Avertec that I had the hard drive replaced on, however the screen on it displays all in blue... I am trying to find a reputable place to send...

Well you have a number of problems there. LCD screens can be replaced but how hard it is depends on your technical skill. if you routinly take things apart just to see what makes them tick or you build computers as a hobby then replacing an lcd screen will be a no brainer. But if you dont know a carburetor from a pipe wrench or a monkey wrench then you would be better off taking it to your neighbors kid.
Look on Ebay for screens for that particular laptop.
Now that Avertec could be a couple of things. Is this a pure blue screen or is there a fault code displayed? If you have an exception code then that means something is wrong with your operating system. If it is a laptop and the screen is pure blue then that is likely to be serious. If you can hear the rest of the laptop continueing to boot up then it could be just a screen problem as well. Video cards are built into laptop system boards. Did the screen start showing blue when the hard drive was replaced? or before?

Base from your statement I can only say only in general. If that not ask a login pass before. This could be a viral activity in your system. It could be a faked alert. Or just a features of your unit.

Either way if this is not a viral activity blue screen mean a driver and hardware conflict. Beeping means memory or video card loose contact or dirty, or fail already.

But to sure I will have your harddrive to be scan by antivirus or antimalware thru another computer, first. Then troubleshoot the unit without the harddrive just using a plain bootable DOS disc. For this you can isolate which one is faulty, a hardware failure, viral, or driver hardware confict. And also OS problem.

Hope I give best possible solution.

It looks like you're encountering an endless reboot? Here's what to do to find the actual error message.

  1. Turn on the computer, and press F8 after the POST screen but before Windows attempts to start to access the advanced startup options.
  2. Select "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" and press Enter.
You should now get a blue screen with an error message and error codes. Please write these codes down and report back.

System shuts down frquently

generally when you get a blue screen error it means that windows is shutting down to avoid a serious error. On that screen is an error code, its usualy quite long and contains zeros, but you can find out alot about your issue by searching it. Likely something that you have installed ( either driver or software wise) is causing a serious problem. My suggestion is to either post the error code here, or to check microsoft's knowledge base. Usualy the best course of action with a problem like that is to back up your files, and consider a recovery. With an hp computer you could do a full system recovery in less than 20 min and save yourself the hassle of trying to decrypt the microsoft error message!

When Windows crashes with blue screen, it writes a system event 1001 or 1003 and a minidump to the folder \windows\minidump. Check system event 1001 and 1003 and it has the content of the blue screen

Microsoft Windows..... A dump was saved in: .......

Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Description:
Error code 1000007f, parameter1 0000000d, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000
