Bad power supply. you can try to reset the cmos and see if that helps ( a tiny jumper close to the cmos battery)
If it doesn't help, it is power supply for sure :(

I have a emachine that powers ou, power pack fan, cpu fan but not the hardrive. It shut down and now won't start up. No beeps

Unplug from AC, open the case, clean if necessary, reseat the memory mods, use Electronic Contact Cleaner spray on contacts, plug in, push the on/off button. Does it begin to start, and in a few seconds completly shuts down? No LED's , no fans, nothing? Sounds like a PSU failure. Mine went out in 6 years.

EMachine 2862 Desktop Dead On Power-Up

check all the leads to the hard drive and check that the fan starts spinning when you switch it on if it dont start then the problem is the switch these do often go and can be easily replaced and they are not expensive i had the same problem and found that it was just the switch hope this solves your problem for you you can bypass the swith so that the computer comes on when you turn the plug on but when you shut down the computer this shuts everything down but the switches are cheap enough to buy if you have changed the power pack then the only thing it can be is switch .................................

My sons eMachines 2220 will not come on, not a bleep, not a light nothing, is it worth buying a new power supply and if so, how much do they cost?

It looks like this computer supports processors from the Pentium 4 family of processors. If that is the case, then in my opinion, no, it is not work fixing (unless *maybe* you have a spare and compatible power supply laying around). We are currently 3 processor generations past that now, if you count sandy bridge as a separate family past the original i7 processors.

My Dell Optiplex 620 started rebooting itself every time Windows started up and then it just went dead. I push the 'ON' button on the front of the computer and nothing happens. I have no lights, no fan,...

I would suspect that the power supply has gone bad and has to be replaced. A simple task, really. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_b10486e133b24d6ca38e4d39d69b43a1(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_ee2e8b71ff554752b93d52dd01ec84ba(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

Is there any video at all? If there is no video, it could be CPU, memory, MB. IF there is video, it could be hard drive, memory.

Emachine T3624 will not power up

Emachines are notorious for having faulty power supplies. If your lucky you just need to replace the power supply. I've seen a lot of them where the power supply also fried the motherboard.

Please don't forget to rate this solution.

Pushing the start button and nothing happens on my emachine T2984

I think your power supply has gone bad and will need to be replaced. You can get a 500 watt power supply for about 60 bucks and you can replace it yourself. very easy
