First reinstall pc suite. Then connect your phone to computer via data cable. This is first time you connect your phone with computer so pc suite will install two settings/apps in your phone. One of which will be of messages.Now you will be able to view messages.Thanks
if you have Nokia pc suite then connect your phone and click Firmware update. This will install latest avaulable update for your phone, and also will erase everything from the phone (do back up). Make sure that battery is charged at least 80% otherwise you can damage your phone for good.

Bluetooth handsfree profiles are needed by N 72 which is missing by default in N 72 you will have to install bluetooth profiles. Please refer to nokia website for details on how to install bluetooth profiles
