I have just recently put a new ice maker in my Frigidaire side by side that is only 5 years old. I can here the ice maker kicking on, but the water does not kick on to flow into ice maker. You can still get water from the door, but for some reason it does not kick on to flow into ice maker.

This has happened to me a couple of times. First check to see if water is dripping from the water line on the back of the freezer. If it is that means ice has formed at the intake on the back of the ice maker and isn't allowing water to get in. Pull everything out and defrost the freezer for 3 - 4 hours. Make sure you dry everything out before putting the food back in.
