Oh thats easy.!. Well here we go: First you need a screwdriver, and a calm hand and patience; then we can start...

  1. Power off your computer
  2. Disconnect all cabling at the back of the computer. Maybe you want to note which cable goes where so that later it is easier for you to put back the cables.
  3. Open your computer case (the one that is opposite of the motherboard.
  4. Now you can either use a "digital camera" ro assist you; so you make pictures of the board configurations, or you can make drawings to guide you (You probably want to put a new motheroard into the PC so you also want to know where the cables will go right ???
  5. Disconnect your cables from your motherboard that come from your power supply. Also disconnect the wires going to your drives ( CD-ROM, DVD) that come from the Power supply.
  6. Now disconnect your Data cables ( IDE or SATA cables) that run from your CD-ROM / DVD and hard drives. Just remember their configeration.
  7. Now, disconnect the other cables, mainly audio, cpu fan cable, chassis fan cable and audio drive through cables and any other cables attached to your MB.
  8. Next up we have the removal of devices that are direclty attached to your MB. Remove the RAM (Do not touch the RAM on the chips, rather hold it at the sides), remove all add in PCI cards like network card, graphics card etc and put them in seperate anti-static containers
  9. Now its time to get the proc: Remove the heatsink+fan by unscrewing it from the MB; there must be four screws around the MB. If you have removed the Heatsinkwithfan, you will see the proc. There must be either a little switch, a screw or lever to "release the proc" from its "socket" otherwise you will damage your proc and or your motherboard. If you have released the lever, you can remove the proc. lay it somewhere, so that its pins or chips lie down.
  10. Check if there are addional devices that need to be removed.
  11. Next, unscrew the MB from the casing, There should be about 6-12 screws on the MB.
  12. All done: All you need to do now is remove the motherboard slowly from its rest, take it out and put it somewhere safe
  13. All done
Next up would be: How do I install a motherboard.

Kind Regards,
Dominik

Dell dhm capacitors

There might be screws that hold the motherboard to the metal cover or there is a latch that you can press that will make it slide out.

It's easier to replace the motherboard than try to fix the capacitors.

Hi,the problem with your ps3 is a heat sync failure,it's a common problem with the ps3,however,here is a detailed solution to help you out;

You have to disassemble the ps3 first, (hint) there is a srew were your rubber boot is on the bottom were it stands up remove this srew but you my have to get a star bit with a hole in the center of it. 2. After removing the cover then sides to the screw, lift the cover to remove all visible screws in the second cover.
3. Lift the second cover in a hinged motion to the front of the ps3 be careful not to pull the hidden carbon wire underneath of the cover if done properly you will see the wire when you lift the cover. To release the wire you must lift gently on the black clip holding it and it will release with no problem.
4. You then lift the blue ray drive up and then dissconnect the wires to it. then remove the power pack which is to the left of the blue ray drive remember there are screws holding this down, remove the wires then remove this peice as well, then remove any remaining screws on the mother board cover except the large philip head screws holding the clips that are in a slant. lift the mother board out to reveil the fan on the bottom now remove the srews that are slanted. the fan will then seperat from the mother board. then clean both of the contacts on the mother board and fan with rubbing alcohol. then seperate the metal from the mother board.
attention; there will be a watch battery connected to the metal, disconnect from the mother board. gently lift up on the metal to seperate the mother board from the metal. At this point you must be extra careful not to move any of the parts on the mother board remove the rubber peices then cover the heat syncs so they dont melt use a heat gun that can reach a temp. of 350 degrees Cel heat for 15 sec on the three heat sinks with a distance of 1 inch or greater move the heat gun counter clockwise on the sensors. during this time the peice must be level or it will hurt the system. After heated you will then need to let cool for 15 min. then flip the board over and hit the exact same spots in the same steps. at this point your problem is solved. Make sure all the peices of rubber that was on the chips is put back in the right spots too.You then put the metal back on the systems mother board at this point clean the syncs again then apply the artic silver in a thin bead on two heat syncs note not too much and not to little just enough to cover the syncs with a thin coat then connect to the fan. reconnect the fan then put the screws back in that holds them together then reattach the power supply but dont srew it down then remove the srews on the fan moter then remove it plug in your system switch it on stand by then press the sensor pad metal to start the system note this will not hurt your system this causes the artic silver to soder the heat syncs together only do this till you see a orange light come from the board near the fan then shut the system down then reattach the fan and reassemble.
Take care

My Laptop DV6000EU in Aug 2007. Warrenty on Mother board

it should be under waranty seeing that the motherboard is malfunctioning again. normally the hardware will go out before the motherboard and seeing that its the same problem again mark the motherboard in a nice little place with a marker to insure they are not doing a repair and giving you back the same faulty board.

The first thing when spilling drink on your electronics is to remove ALL power.

Then wash the circuits with DISTILLED, de-ioniozed water till all traces of the spillage is gone. Next driop dry with one corner down and finally let dry a few days.

The only damage the spillage usually can do is electrolysis from the power source. Circuit boards are washed with water during manufacturing. Use DE_IONIZED !!!

You'll have to remove the mother board to fix this. Basically, remove the keyboard & touchpad. You will see the mother board at that time. Remove whatever else is necessary to get down to the mother board. Hint! Keep track of what screw comes out of what hole. You'll need to know that for reassembly.
