Question about Computers & Internet
I have no sound and my pc keeps telling me no sound device,
i have a lenovo thinkpad R61i.

You had no specified the OS you had installed
update the latest service pack for the OS you have
Then install the sound card drivers you get from the vendor while you had purchased the sound card.
After installing restart the system.

This might help if your using windows XP.
You could check this out by looking in the device manager - select
start menu - control panel - system - device manager
From the list select sound video and game controlers, if you press the + sign you will get a list which should include soundmax integrated audio. If thats present select it and then properties which is the little square with a hand pointing at it near the top. This should tell you if its working and links to a sound trouble shooter.
Remember to try the windows help or there should be a specific lenovo help if you have thinkvantage showing in your program list.
Its less complicated than it sounds, honest :)
