I think you have not installed the graphics driver ....
check whether you have installed the graphics driver or not ...
if not install it and then you will be able get other resolutions ...
if already installed then try uninstalling and reinstalling driver...
if you are using the windows xp then it might have detecte automatically the standard graphics driver so try installing your graphics driver from the manufacture cd ....
then you will surely be able to get the other resolutions ...

if any problem reply me i am always here to assist you ..
thank you
bye

My hp monitor S5500 when boot on it desplay out of frequency range and set resolution lower or see monitor users guide. What can i do to clear this information.

It means that the resolution set in the pc is higher than what your monitor can handle. Boot in Safe Mode, go to Control Panel > Display and in the Settings put a lower resolution - 800x600.

I have a Mag Innovision 2200W Monitor. I messed with the settings, and now I get a ''mode not supported'' error. The computer is running in the background, and works with other monitors, but not this one....

Hi

To resolve this issue connect a monitor which is working with the Computer. Now right click on desktop and select properties(if windows XP) or personalize/screen resolution (if windows vista / 7)-> Now click on settings tab (windows XP) or change the resolution of your monitor-> Choose a lower resolution rate maybe 800X600. Now try connecting the other monitor with your Computer and it will work.

If not then check for the refresh rate of your monitor, adjust it to 60 Hz. You can adjust refresh rate from settings tab->advanced button(in XP). Screen resolution/Display settings(under windows 7/vista)->Advanced setting->monitor tab ->refresh rate.

This will surely resolve your issue.

Input not supported - floating gray message Win 7

Hi,
You haven't specified what monitor you use but the gray message is most likely due to your screen not being able to handle the high resolution. Try setting it to a resolution below 1600 x 1200.
Best wishes,

My pogo game comes in very small want full screen

This is due to the resolution set on your computer. change your resolution of the desktop from display property to less than 800X600.

Desk top keeps going large

There is not much that you have given us to work with here, but what i'm assuming you are describing is a resolution issue.

There are a few different resolutions that a computer will typically have depending on its age and its graphics card.
640x480
800x600
1024x768
those are the typically resolutions for a basic system, those with super graphics card can go much higher.

You first off might want to see if you just need to up the settings... you can do this by....

1. right click on any empty space on your desktop and click 'properties' on the menu that pops up.
2. click the tab that says 'settings' and it will bring you your resolutions.
3.bump it up from whatever it is set to (640x480 -> 800x600 or 800x600 -> 1024x768) then click apply.
4. a window might pop up saying it is changing your resolution and asks you if you would like to keep it the new way and it will give you 15 seconds to respond yes or no before it reverts back to the prior settings.

This should fix your problem. otherwise you may need to reinstall your graphics cards via a driver download from the manufacturers website and it should have a self-installing file that will do all of the tough work for you.

If your problem seems to have nothing to do with the possibilities I just gave you please share more details about when the problem occurs, things you have tried to do to fix it that have failed. etc.

We can't get our screen resolution back to what it was (1024x768) it changed when a game being played ended. It runs on 800x600 at the moment and everything is too big.

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig 1.1 below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

The areas worth noting are:

Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor, but the standard options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.

Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

Color Quality
This pull down box will contain the current colour options available, again this will depend on your grahics card and monitor, for best results select the highest option available.Changing the Resolution
To change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box (see left), if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

I have Compaq 6710b and size of monitor change automaticaly to 800x600 and I can't modify it.

If your video resolution changed automatically to 800x600 and you cannot alter it, then it sounds like you need to reinstall the graphics driver. Visit the following link, then download and install the Intel 965GM Graphics Driver listed.

I hope this helps!
