Re: 3 red redlights
Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX. All XBox360 consoles have a 3-year limited warranty protecting against the 3 red lights. Since the XBox360 hasn't even been out for three years yet, yours should still be under warranty and will be replaced for free.

This could be from a few things. You want to figure out the cause of the redlights first. This link here http://www.3603redlights.com/ runs through all the diagnosis for the dreaded 3 red lights and gives you ways to get gaming again in no time.

when I see this problem 90% of the time it's the G.P.U. desoldering
itself from the main board . The G.P.U. will need to be resolders (reflowed ) cost will very 60.00-80.00 so shop around for someone
What you want to do is turn it on, lay it flat on its side, wrap it in towels, put it in a cardboard box, and leave it on for about an hour. Turn it off, wait for it to cool down. LEAVE IT ALONE WHILE COOLING!!! unwrap it, and plug it in, it should play just fine. Other methods include removing motherboard, heating that, and then laying it flat to let cool. Both ways work, one voids the warranty, the other doesn't. Your pick! Any more questions just ask.
This means you left your XBOX on too long and it over heated. This is any easy fix, leave your Exbox 360 off for about Half an hour, and It should be fine. If you like playing for Long periods of time, I prefer getting a stand for it, it has a switch thats will blow a fan into the xbox.
But also, don't mess with your exbox to much when the 3 lights come on, you might make a spark and 4 lights will show. By then, you would have to take it to a shop or get a new one.
Two red lights mean your 360 is over exceeding the inside temperature. Your fan must not be working at all and your 360 is overheating tremendously. That is what I know about the 2 red lights. Im not sure what to tell you to fix this but to just call 18004myxbox.
Hi Mattrobi8886, It sounds like your console is heading for a 3 red light error, I know from experience that freezing is not good and probably means there is trouble on the way.
Adding extra cooling to the XBOX or doing an X-Clamp replacement fix works in these situations. Getting the console apart is pretty straight forward and is quite easy, I've done it plenty of times, visit the Tutorials sections here http://360solutions.eamped.com/ for instructions on taking the 360 apart.
xbox-scene.com also have allot of X-Clamp tutorials. I hope this helps in some way, leave me a message on the forum if you need more pointers.
hey johnny you will have to call microsoft and get it fixed there is one thing you can do in the mean time to temp fix it.
what you need is two towels just normal bathroom towels take everything out of your xbox e.g harddrive, controlers etc only things to leave in is the av cable and power supply as you wanna turn on the xbox lie a towel flat on the ground and lie the xbox on its side ontop of the towel turn the xbox on, you will see the error message and the red lights flash. wrap the towel around your xbox covering the air vents and then the 2nd towel put over the top. leave it on in the towels for about 20 mins then after that take all the towels off turn off the console and leave to cool down for 15 mins. turn the xbox on and it should restart again fine but only lasts for a couple of days then you have to do it again. wont fix it but will let u play while microsoft gets it.
