The TV can't be operated by the remote anymore. I changed the batteries with new ones, unplugged the tv for a night and did a factory reset but nothing helped. It's not the remote because my universal remote doesn't work the tv anymore either. It was working fine until two days ago and then nothing. The set is a little more than a year old. Please help if you can..thanks

The remote IR receiver may have gone out, or the logic board is not processing the IR signal from the IR receiver board. You can check and see if the IR receiver board is getting 5vdc feeding it.

I have telefunken tv and whene i start it the picture come but it block i cant move anything i cant use the remote i cant even close the tv just if i Unplug the power pls helpe me

I'm not quite understanding what exactly you are saying. Do you mean,
You have a TV, and when you turn it on, you have pictures but, you can't scroll or operate/change channels, volumes etc. by using the remote but, in order to turn the TV off, you have to unplug the power cord.
1. Check the battery in the remote
2. If the battery is good in the remote then you might have a bad remote, buy new remote or replace it with a universal remote.
3. If either not a battery or remote, then it will be the control board inside the TV quit working and will need to be replaced. Depending on how expensive or age of the TV. By the time you invest fixing the board with labor, might runs you from $200 to $400 bucks, and you can buy a new TV from Walmart a 49" inch TV for $319 bucks.

How do I reset my LG TV remote?

Ray is right, the only thing you can do is to try new batteries, even if you feel the present ones are OK. The infrared sender in remotes does fail in time.

New remotes are quite cheap on Amazon and eBay.

Toshiba 32AF44. While watching a baseball game yesterday, the volume bar appeared by itself and scrolled down to zero. The bar will not disappear. It's like someone is holding the down button. Tried...

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Since last night the tvis stuck on 1 channel and it says mono on the bottom and itv is on top and wont go no other channel can be changed from remote, but the volume can be changed, so its not the battery...

Hello,

You can get this fix by resetting the television
Forced to factory default: press and hold [VOLUME ( - )] on the TV and press [MENU] on the remote 2 seconds. Exit: Unplug Power to reset.
If it does not help, the main board need to replace.

Hope this helps....

Tv won't stop changing channels

You need to isolate the problem.
1) Unplug the set for a few seconds then plug it in.
2) Operate the TV with the control/buttons on the TV. (Channels etc)
If the TV operates correctly then do the following.
3) Try operating with the remote unit. If the problem returns then it's the remote failing.

Sometime remotes can be reset.
Try this;
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Try it again. If the problem is still there then the remote is bad.
Since this is a new TV you should use your warranty to replace any bad parts.

TV does not recieve a remote

Hey, Have you tried to power cycle your remote? That may work, do the TV too. I'll give ya the steps, just follow them and you should be ok. I'll throw in a factory reset as well, but if you're not using a cable box you will have to run another auto scan. anyways start off by unplugging the TV and removing the batteries from the remote control. Let them both sit, you don't have to let the remote sit really, but I do for good measure. You have to let the TV sit for a minimum of 5 minutes. at the end of 5 minutes, you have to find the physical power button on the TV, this means NOT on the remote, but on the TV itself, you have to find this power button, and you have to hold it down for 1 solid minute. Again, any time you can do something extra for good measure, it can't hurt, so if you want to leave it unplugged for 10 minutes and hold the button for 2, go for it, it may help. After you're done with that, power cycle the remote control. Being that your remote seems to be haywire, go ahead and press every single button, this means channel up and down, even if they're on the same button, every one from the top to the bottom, 5 times with no batteries in it. Then hold down the power button on the remote for 30 seconds. Then replace the batteries, preferrably with new ones. This completes the power cycles for both the Remote control and the TV. Now, before plugging the TV back in, we have to do the factory reset. Again, hold the power button on the actual TV, and then, while holding down the power button, plug in the power cord, wait for a couple of seconds, and then release the power button. Wait for a moment, and then turn the TV on. This completes the factory reset.

The reason for all of this, is, power cycle the remote to drain it's capacitors and reset it, power cycle the TV incase the Remote sensor is affected by a static electricity build up. Factory reset incase any settings may have caused this. Hope this helps.

I have the same TV. My best guess is that the remote may need new batteries. It might also be necessary to reset the TV codes for the remote (even it's the one that came with the TV).

Toshiba 36AF43 will not operate via remote control (Yes, the batteries are fresh!)

try unplugging the tv and allow the tv to remain unplugged for a least 5 minutes. This will force a reset on the tv which should resolve your remote issues.
