I am getting the 1 blink red LED indication saying that the bulb didn't fire after 5 attempts. Although we've had the projector for about 5 years, it only has 200 - 300 hours on the lamp. Therefore I find it hard to believe that the lamp has failed. The projector is mounted from the ceiling, so it hasn't been subject to vibrations that may have loosened the lamp connections.
Can I do a continuity check of the lamp to see if it's OK? As of right now, I haven't done anything to the projector; it's still mounted on the ceiling.
Thanks in advance for your help
Make sure the lamp door is engaging the safety switch. make sure the colorwheel spins also, it the colorwheel doesn't spin up the projector won't start.if thats not the problem you need to check the resistance on the thermal switch which is on top of the lamp housing. it should be infinite. if thats not it it could be the power supply or the main board.
