DRUM REPLACEMENT AFTER FINALLY REMOVING THE OLD DRUM TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE, WE NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A LONG STRIP (12" LONG AND 1/2" WIDE) OF WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SCREEN THAT FELL OUT DURING THE REMOVAL. CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE IT GOES -- HOW TO RE-ATTACH IT? WILL IT HURT OUR MACHINE TO RUN IT WITHOUT THIS SCREEN? THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE US.

That is the charge screen. It is on the metal channel above the drum, Its is held on by a spring clip on the end. Yes it has to be on for the machine to work corectly, what it does is smoothes out the charge voatage so that the print is even.
It really is not hard to replace, just look on the charge assembly there will be a metal tab, and run it across either the charge wire or sawtooth. Just be sure that it is even across the assembly.
If it is installed on an angle the copy quality will not be even across the page.

The part that you are talking about is not from the fuser unit. It is from the drum unit, it is most likely the primary charge grid. It is part of the drum that charges the drum..... You may just want to replace the drum unit..... If the grid fell off the plastic holder may be broken... Good Luck

The stainless steel drum has broken away inside my creda excel 1200

This means that the drum support has collapsed due to corrosion.
It entails a complete strip down of washer, and replacing the drum shaft, and possibly new drum bearings and shaft seal also.
It is quite an involved repair, and not to be undertaken lightly.
If the washer is more than 5 years old, it would be more eonomical to replace it with a new washer.

I have a rubbing sound coming from the gas dryer drum

The rubbing sound is probably due to worn or missing glides around the dryer opening that the drum rides on. These are usually mounted on a felt strip that is glued to the front panel of the dryer. Remove the front panel and you will see this strip. It is easy to replace and comes in a kit with the glue. Make sure you clean the area after removing the old strip so the glue will adhere properly. If this strip and glides are in good shape, I would look at the bearing or rollers at the back of the drum and check clearance around the drum for rubbing. Hope this will fix ya.

I am to replace rear stub axle on a seat ibiza? do i have to strip out the inside of the drum before removing the old stub axle?

The simple answer is YES. You will need to remove brake drum / hub and inner and outer wheel bearings. This allows access to the retaining bolts.
Although a little tricky___You should now be able to install a new stub axle, without removing the brake shoes or Handbrake cable

Drivers side window (power) will go down about 4 inches then stops. I hear a grinding sound like gears not meshed. Wont go up unless I assist by hand. Passenger side window works fine

Replace the Track strip for the window. There is a track guide inside the door with teeth on it and you have lost a few of the teeth on that strip creating a bad spot. It is usually about $12 to $15 and a 30 minute job to replace. Once you get the door panel open it should be pretty obvious how to remove the old strip and install teh new one.

The copies are coming out smeared and with lines. I wiped the (drum?) off?

What did you wipe the drum off with???? That is why you have this problem. You may want to try recleaning the opc with a dry soft rag, also you may want to clean the drum blade... If that dose not solve your problem, you may need to replace the opc & blade... Have you tried to stop the copy before it gets to the fuser unit.. If so, are the marks there???

Broken/stripped rear lugs on pacifica that needs to be replaced

From Experience trying to clean the threads up usually results in just stripping the stud the rest of the way. Depending on how the car is set up (i.e. rear disc or rear drum brakes) replaceing the lug studs is fairly straight forward. All you need to do is remove the tire, remove either the brake drum or disc, and determine if you have room for removal and reinsertion of a new stud. If not determine what has to be removed to give you that room. Then comes the fun part. Take about a 2-3lb. hammer and knock the old one out. Yes, they just knock out. Then to instal the new one just set it in the hub where the old one came out, place a few washers that will fit over the knurled part at the base on the stud and the new lug nut and tighten it down til the back side if flat against the hub. Then just reinstall previously removed parts and you are done.
