Question about Philips Televison & Video
I had this problem with my unit. After disassembling it and finding no problems it dawned on me.
The drive motor is very small and not very powerful. So I assumed that any resistance to the motor (like a sticky bearing) may cause it a problem.
So by taking 2 small screwdrivers and gently taking off the disk attachement (just open the lid and gently pop it off) I then put very light oil on the motor shaft.
It has fixed the problem. It took about 5-10 minutes for the oil to work its way into the bearing but works fine now. You might want to give it a try....only takes a couple of minutes.
