My system restore has been suspended and I can't free up space on my hard disk because I accidently erased alot of my files.

It certainly sounds as if you've lost system files Without knowing your OS it's hard to tell you which way to go. If you can get access to your own files, the ones you want to keep. Back then up onto a different drive or external drive and then completely reformat and start from scratch. A bit of a hassle but that's the cost of accidentally deleting files. Without knowing what you deleted it would be quicker to reformat. Plus you end up with a nice clean and usually faster computer.
If by chance you run Vista you can replace lost or damaged system files by popping in your Vista DVD and follow the prompts.

I dont have recovery CD for my laptop

Being that you don't have the recovery cd, I would probably do the following (in this order):

1. Do a System Recovery (go to Start > Help and Support > type in System Recovery in the search field > look for Run System Recovery Wizard)

2. If the above didn't fix my problem, then I would try to determine if it was a hardware issue (bad RAM, fan, processor, etc) or if it was definitely a software issue (operating system is kaput, virus, etc...)

3. Contact Toshiba and find out how much it would cost to get another Recovery CD.

4. If it costed more than $100 dollars (and you're a little computer inclined) then I would buy myself a fresh Windows XP Home Edition OEM version (runs about $90 if not less)

BUT... before sticking in that cd, make sure that you download the device drivers or back up your device drivers for your system (network driver, graphics drivers, chipset drivers).. once you've backed up those things onto a cd or disk, then I would go ahead and put in a fresh copy of Windows XP and reformat the computer.

Once thats done, you can put in that back cd you made and have the computer find the drivers on your disc when it says "New Hardware Found..." and just make sure you have it search your disc drive.

IF it doesn't cost much to get a Recover CD from Toshiba, then by all means, get it and put that bad boy in. Of course, when formatting anything, back up your files that you need (address book, documents, etc) and then reformat with the CD.

Memory Card Slot/USB not working

If you have your original Windows repair disk, run a repair installation, (**Not a reinstall and don't reformat, just a repair) this should be an easy way to fix your problem, taking maybe an hour.

I lost all my files trying to restore the computer but accidentally recovered instead

Do not load any software onto the computer! There is software that can recover your lost files except for the ones that may have been over written by the restore. Is this a MAC or PC? What Operating system were you using?

System hangs

scan your system with antivirus maybe your computer is infected with virus.

If this not work, try examine the memory, remove clean and fix it back and start the computer.
if still thesame;
examine trhe mainboard maybe some part of it overheating.
if non of those, then remove newly install hardware and software
id still theamse happen, i recommend you to reinstall your windows to correct all the errors.
It pretty if you reformat it before installing the new windows.

Note: reformatting and reinstalling could remove the important files, make backup before proceeding.
