Question about Lexmark X8350 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Scanner won't scan

When I first set up the printer (Lexmark All-in-One X8350) and downloaded the most current driver from Lexmark's website the scanner worked fine. That was in February or so last year, 2007. Around November the scanning function stopped working. Since that time I've been in contact with Lexmark and they cannot correct the problem.

These are the steps I follow to scan:
1) I open the Lexmark Productivity Suite
2) I select scan
I hear the scanner (the physical piece of equipment) running.
The scanning software or application stops working or freezes.

Today I received this from Lexmark:
The Vista drivers available on the Lexmark website do not contain the All-In-One Center. They are minimum drivers. Although the scan drivers are shipped with the web package, they cannot be used by the All-In-One Center since it is not included. Please use Windows Scanners and Cameras or Photo Gallery for Scanning.

Please follow the steps given below to perform the WIA scanning:
1. Click on "Start," and "Windows photo gallery."
2. Under "Windows photo gallery" click on "File" and " Import from camera and scanner."
3. Select the "Lexmark X8350 printer" and click on the import button.
4. To begin the scanning process, click "Scan Now."Same results: App freezes or hangs and nothing is scanned.

Is my Lexmark All-in-One so old that it won't now work?

Right Click on My Computer/Computer if Vista........ Click on Properties then click on Hardware click on Device Manager...... On that list u will see the Printer Name with an exclamation Mark........ Right Click on that click on update Drivers...... Insert the CD to the drive....... Select Browse My Computer for Driver software..... Click on Browse and then Double Click on Computer go to Lexmark X*****.......... Double click on Drivers and then click on scan and then click ok........ Now click next it will say the hardware is ready to use then u can just click on finish and scan..... Thanku

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X8350 Driver on your computer. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
The Lexmark X8350 printer does not come with a USB cable (to connect the device to your computer). You'll have to provide your own cable. You may contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

I am trying to scan a doc, but don't know how to set up the scanner. I am running MS office 2007 on XP- OS


Make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software (used for scanning documents for editing) is installed on your computer. The scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. No downloadable driver is available in the Lexmark website. Just insert the install disc into your hard drive to install the additional software on your computer.

Where I´can finde a driver


You can download the Lexmark X8350 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Use the Vista driver in Windows 7. First, check if your computer is running on 32-bit or 64-bit system type. Go to Start menu-> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
Download the driver using the link below: Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. Hope this helps. Thanks.

I have lost the CD to my Lexmark X8350 and need to install on a new laptop. I have trired the links to lexmark Driver Downloads but the printer still is not working


Try to uninstall any existing Lexmark X8350 printer software from your computer. Refer to this article on How to Uninstall Lexmark Printers. Reboot your laptop when prompted. To reinstall, use the updated driver available at http://bit.ly/eO4Y77. Select your operating system to download the driver. NOTE: Use the Vista driver in Windows 7.

No cd


You can download the Lexmark X8350 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Note: Lexmark X8350 works on Windows operating system only. Use Vista driver on Windows 7.
Go to this link Lexmark X8350 Drivers. Select your operating system version by clicking on change OS.

Then click on Complete Driver under Recommended Downloads.
Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.

I have a Lexmark X8350 and need to reinstall it on my Dell because it crashed and I seem to have misplaced the installation disk, is there anything I can do to get one of these?


There are Lexmark X8350 drivers for Microsoft available for download in the Lexmark website. I suggest not to connect the printer to your computer yet. Download and install the software first. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/bHkqde. Choose the correct driver compatible with your operating system. If you're using Windows 7, you can use the Vista drivers. Download and install the software. Follow the instructions. Hope this helps.

Cannot download driver from lexmark website for lexmark x8350 to windows 7 on computer


Unfortunately, Lexmark has not as of yet released a driver for your machine x8350 that is compatible with Windows 7. The list of printers that currently have drivers for Windows 7 is here: Lexmark Windows 7
Although the trend is to blame the printer manufacturer, the issue is on Microsoft. They tend to release operating systems without giving manufacturers sufficient time to create software to run their devices. The same thing happened with the release of XP and Vista. Sorry, wish I had better news.
