How to replace light switch on frigidarie refrigerator with freezer on top model: FRT21LRGW3

you may have a bad switch , you can pull out the switch with a flat head screwdriver to check connections and or replace

What is the model number of your unit?

you do not have a evap fan or your evaporator is frozen. hold the light switch closed and listen for fan. if you do not hear a fan then replace it. you will have to defrost freezer also.

I AM ALSO HAVING THIS PROBLEM. i HAVE LOOKED IN THE BACK FOR SOMETHING TO REMOVE AND CLEAN BUT EVERYTHING SEEMS VERY TIGHTLY ATTACHED.

Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the water line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection. I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect everything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge. Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.

this would appear to be a thermistat control issue.make sure that the doors are closed tight and the seals are in good shape this will also cause long periods of run time.if those thing are good replace the thermistat control.good luck with your fridge let me know hwo things worked out for you.

This is possibly a defective control board behind the dispenser controls. The part number for the control board is 5304421827

wrong model # ,defrost problem. remove freezer panel, check heater, check limit switch while still covered in ice, if both ohm infinity, replace defrost timer.

Coils location is in one of three places;
1. under the refrigerator compartment in the back, must remove fiber panel to access. If this is yours be sure to replace the panel after cleaning.
2, Black grill on back of refrigerator about 1.5" stand-off from back.
3 built into the outer walls of the refrigerator, Not accessible, provide air clearance for free air circulation around unit.
