It is an error regarding your email server settings. Verify that the email server settings are correct (IP address, domain, etc)

Per HP:
49.xxxx errors are "communication errors" and can be caused by many things:Corrupted driver, corrupted firmware, corrupted print job, bad nic card (your printer has a built in network port), bad memory DIMM, bad formatter board etc etc.
Unplug the network cable, power off and then back on..........print a configuration page...........check that the printer sees the network port (if you see the IP address on the EIO page it sees it)...........if it doesn't see it you may have a bad formatter board (the network port is built in it).
If the printer works just fine while unplugged from the network, start replacing the network cable, otherwise you need to look into your network.

The 900 error usually indicates a software or communications problem. If the 900 error occurs only when the printer is receiving information from a network or computer, you should contact your software/network support. If the error occurs when the printer is idle or not connected to the network or PC, there may be a printer hardware or connection problem. Sometimes a bad connection with an Internal Network Adapter/Network Card can cause the problem. The first thing to check is the base printer.

To check the base printer

Turn off the printer and disconnect every cable, except for the power cord.

Turn on the printer and see if the error returns.

If the error does not return, try to print a test page from the Test Menu.

Error 900.44 .... RIP Software

The error relates to the system board / formatter.

R.I.P = Rest in Peace

Turn off machine for 10 minutes.

If error persists follow theses steps:

1. ) If the machine is networked disconnect the cable and power cycle. If the error doesn't come back up swap the network cable, with a good one.

2.) Firmware upgrade

3.) Replace the system board

Based on my experience it's either the network cable or the system board.

I have an HP 5500dtn Color Printer and I am receiving an 81.018 EIO Error, what is this?

From the HP Service Manual
DEFECTIVE NETWORK Card, OR Formatter Board
bullet_red.gifUnplug network Cable or Parallel Cable from the printer and then turn it off and then on, if error goes away then it was a bad communication from the network or the computer
This usually solves this error.

You didn't tell me enough about the problem. Are you trying to scan from a PC or to a PC? The problem is that the network address changed when you moved the printer. You can fix this by correcting the network address

Fax sending problem - error code 81

Greetings John,
This error is for 81 Z no user profile for pre-process.81 error indicates that a temporary error has occured while testing. If cycling the power does not solve the problem you should replace the formatter board.
Also It could be a problem with the power supply or DC controller. There may fluctuating power issues with the formatter. Also did you replace the network card after replacing the formatter or did you use the same network card that was replaced before the formatter was replaced. It may be the new network card may have been damaged by the old formatter and gives the same problem now, and using the damaged network card may have messed up the formatter again. To test this replace both formatter and network card together.

Xante Ilumina 512 error code

this error can be caused by a new or existing PC on your network. EXAMPLE: the network settings on new DELL pc's are default set to control the network and repair any seems dells dont like Ilumina's, and they get this error code.
Disable the network control function in the DELL settings.
And this error will not re appear until another dell is installed.

Either network card or hard drive.
remove the network card and turn the machine on.
if the error persists then replace the hard drive.
If the error does not come back then replace the network card.
