Will not turn on (by 2 users)

I have power to my box but, I can't get it to turn on?? The light is red but It won't turn on manually or by remote?

My sony DAV-FC8 will not power on. The red light is on, but no display. NOTHING!! What is strange is i bought my unit the exact time my brother bought his and his went out onthe same day. His is doingthe same thing mines doing.
