Question about Intel BLKD915GAVL (BLKD915GAVLX10U) Motherboard
Turn computer on, freezes at blue intel screen. CPU is Pentium 4 LGA775 (3GHZ) Windows XP Media Center, I upgraded memory to 3 GB, but problem returned 3 weeks later... Computer is 3 years old. Any ideas as to where this problem is? Can it be fixed or is the computer just old?
Most likely the new stick(s) of memory is causing problems in your system. To verify this i would remove the newly added ram and see if the problem goes away.
Also you can download and run a memory test called 'memtest86+' from here. This can be burned to a cd and booted from the computer, to run a diagnostic on the new memory.
Hope this helps.
