It sounds like your alarm was put in silent mode. You can check your alarm user book to reset your alarm mode. Also you can google your alarm model and it should direct you to a DYI alarm reset videos. GL

First thing is to trip the system to see if the siren works then. If it does, then perhaps you inadvertently set the chirp commands to silent. If the siren doesn't work when the system is tripped then that's your problem. You'll need to find the siren and troubleshoot possible causes. I'd start with the wiring but the siren could have simply gone bad. You should be able to test it easily with a test light or multi-meter.
The only reason that your alarm would not chirp when locking and unlocking the doors is that the system is in valet. A visual notification that the alarm is in valet mode is the LED light is on solid. If the LED is on solid and you wish to make the alarm active again, turn the ignition on then, press and hold the valet/programming switch for two seconds. The LED light will turn off. If the LED light is not on solid then, the issue may be with siren itself.
Sounds like your alarm is set up for "Silent Arming" for when you dont want to wake up neighbors, kids etc. scroll thru your setup menu and see if silent arming is engaged, if so disengage. If you need more help email me [email protected] (Jim)
Your alarm got put into valet mode some how
.It's easy to reverse out of it back to normal. First look for a small black push button under the dash somewhere. It's called a valet button. Here are the steps.
1. open door
2.turn key on then off
3.then within 10 seconds hit that valet button once(your alarm light should be off. Tell you arm it again. Then it will blink)
Hope this helps
well if it only seems to do it when u go into places where u can not hear ur alarm when it sounds then more than likely its telling u that the alarm had been tripped. Most alarm systems have that feature that it just chirps every so many secs to let u know.
