Need help with using the staple feature on my cannon imagerunner 2870. The staple button is not highlighted to be used, but the copier is full of Staples

This belongs on the lower plate of the cartridge. It hangs down and indicates when the staples are out. Take the cartridge apart again and look at the bottom plate. There should be a slot and another slot perpendicular to the bigger slot. This is where the two tabs of the black piece pivot on. If I remember correctly there is a rectangular shaped part of the arm and I think it faces up. The arm should hang down a little bit. Then put all the parts back together. Load the staples. Good luck.

first open upper front cover.
then pull handle on left corner of front side, the sorter unit will come out. see behind side of sorter unit u'll find a small green handle to detach the staples cartridge, replace the staples cartridge and insert unit into stapler. push back sorter unit an close the upper front door. end

Cannon image runner 2200 error code E000002-0000, how do solve this problem

At machine you can select 'monitor'from the bottom of the screen and select the log for copy or print. If you have network access to the machine you can use the RUI, it's much clearer. Just type in the IP address of your machine and the RUI interface will be displayed. You'll find print, scan and copy logs easy to find there and print.

First step, have staple cartridge on hand, type J1 for the iR2200.
Open the front cover of the finisher, which is the door directly below the control panel, which opens from left to right.
There's a handle to grab on the front right corner where the paper comes out, pull it out all the way.
This will expose that module's back right corner where the green staple holder handle is.
With thumb and forefinger, reach in, take hold and lift up and pull out the staple case by its green tab.
You'll see "push" on the sides of the staple case, squeeze thumb and forefinger, one on each "push" sign, and the top will spring up, which is the clear plastic case through which you can see a large spring. Pull out the staple cartridge from the back, under the green tab.
Put the new cartridge in with the orange seal tape hanging out the back.
Press down on the spring-loaded case until it clicks into place again.
Remove the orange seal tab by pulling straight back, then down, not at an angle, as you don't want it to break, just to come off.
Holding it by the green tab, lower the staple case back into the finisher until it settles snugly into place.

If you have a internal finnisher,you open the front cover of the finnisher,remove the stapler cartrigde with it's green handel.Remove the paper cover of the previous cartridge.Insert the new staplers in the possition of the arrows.Remove red plastic.Reinsert cartridge back into machine.
