In your power options in the control panel you will see settings for what the power button does. Your's is set to put the computer into sleep mode when you press the power button. Take the battery out and remove the ac adapter. Press the power button for approx. 15 seconds. Now put the battery back in and put in the ac adapter. Reboot the system and open the control panel. Go to power options. Choose the settings for the power button from the drop down menu and choose shut computer off. Also, look for the item in the left column that states what to do when closing the lid and change that to "nothing" from the drop down list. That should take care of ya.

System keeps telling me i have a paper jam

Does the paper exit the paper tray?
If not, the half-moon shaped feed rollers may be slippery. Turn the copier on its back side to see the rollers.
Usually they are facing upwards and the rubber side is unreachable. Turn the copier back to its original position.

1. Press the copy button. When the copier starts feeding paper take the power cord off-QUICKLY. If you are quick enough the rollers remain at down position and you can clean them with some kind of rubber cleaning liquid or solvent. Perhaps alcohol, but it tends to dry out the rubber surface.

How do I get my monitor back on if I accidently press the key in the top left corner (with the half-moon shape on it). What is that key for?

That's the sleep button
(half-moon -> night-time -> sleep).
It puts the PC into standby mode. Pressing the power button should bring it back to life.

What does the half moon lit up mean, No screen.

The half moon usually means the computer is in SLEEP MODE. Normally, pressing the spacebar will wake the computer up but I have noticed that sometimes, the computer can get "stuck" in sleep mode. If that is the case, you can hold the power button down (until the power turns off and the moon disappears). Wait a few seconds then hit the power button again to turn the laptop back on.

Power LED Flashing Yellow on Qosmio laptop F15

This flashing LED means only one thing, and it is quite harmless:

Your laptop is either "asleep" (suspended) or in "hibernation" mode.It does this if left for a long time with no activity/input from you. You must simply "wake the laptop up" now:

Look for a symbol on keyboard for "sleeping" (like a half moon with zzzz) and press that key WITH whatever color coded key matches the symbol color (usually "FN" key). If there is no suchkey, press the space bar and hold it down a few seconds.

Then wait. Can take 60 seconds to "wake up" on slower processors.

If this does not work, press AND hold the POWER button for 10 seconds. Then wait 60 seconds and press power key again, briefly, to start laptop normally.

Pressing and holding the power button 6-10 seconds forces a complete system shutdown.

If this happens often, something may be wrong with APM or ACPI settings/driver. You can go to start menu/settings/control panels/power management and adjust settings (or disable sleep/suspend and hibernation if all else fails to resolve situation)

good luck.
