Hp 3600 printer cutting off left side of legal

Check your photo conductor unit or the toner cartridge and make sure the film on there isn't torn. If you are using a remanufactured cartridge it maybe defective. A lot of companies that refill cartridges sometimes damage the units and they may work for a while but eventually will fail. The other problem is that they don't empty the over flow bottle in the cartridges and that can cause excess toner to show up on the page as streaks down the page. The cartridges are made to be used only once and thrown away or sent back to the company for them to be recycled. I know HP sends a label with theirs for them to be sent back to HP at no cost to you.

How can I remove the error number 5200 that appears on the screen of my computer every I print a documents.

It can be an error message from the printer itself due to some self diagnosis (paper, ink/toner low, others...). Try to check what the printer is asking for.

If not, reinstall the printer drivers (uninstall/remove them first).

Have a light stripe down center of copy, even after installing new toner cartridge? No Error message.

The most common problems are scratches or lines around the drum. These lines will transfer to the image. If the complaint is a solid or partial line on the image, inspect the drum for a matching set of lines. Replace the toner cartridge if the drum appears damaged or if you suspect the drum to be the cause of the image problem. If you replace the toner cartridge and the lines remain, then there's a good chance that the problem is with the drum.
The other part of the image subsystem which could cause this is the fuser. Scratches or damaged areas of the fuser can result in missing or smudged areas on the printout. Remove the fuser, and examine it closely for damage or deterioration. You can contact your printer manufacturer for a replacement fuser if necessary.

I hope this helps and thanks for using Fixya!

Toner exhasting

When the toner cartridge is exhausted or empty then theprinter will not be able to print further documents or the prints will be veryfaint. You may be able to print a few more pages by removing thetoner cartridge and shaking the toner cartridge in a horizontal position a fewtimes and then placing it back into the printer. This will give you an opportunity to print a few more pages and giveyou time to purchase a new toner cartridge for your printer. A cheaperalternative is to purchase a re-manufactured toner cartridge for your modelprinter. A re-manufactured printer cartridge also replaces worn partsas well as refilling with toner powder.

Error 10.1000 supply error

Hi there,

The HP LaserJet toner cartridge has a smart chip on the top left side. This chip tells the printer when the toner is low.

Recycled toners do not or can not reset the chip, therefore when you use a recycled toner you may get toner low messages although the toner is good.

Also, you may get the 10.10.00 error. We have devised a work around to fool the printer into not displaying the message.

Place a stip of opaqe tape or paper or the chip. When the printer detects a non-standard cartridge press the green (go) button. It will then reset the LCD to Ready.

Found this info on a recycled manufacturer site. http://www.infinityimaging.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/online-store/scstore/p-2300.html?E+scstore

Post back if it is not working we will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
cheers!!

Our hp color laserjet printer is not printing... all the ink cartridges are new and inserted correctly... we have no idea what's wrong

There can be a number of things that are wrong so bear with me as I list some suggestions or possible solutions.

Always, ensure that your cables are securely connected between the PC/Printer and your AC Power cord is securely plugged into the outlet as well as the back of the printer. Additionally, make sure that the printer isn't indicating an internal problem such as low toner, paper jam or some error code on it's display. If everything on the printer appears to be normal, proceed to the next paragraph, If there are any error codes or messages on your printers display, you'll need to look those up to clear those issues before proceeding.

Open your print queue in your computer, (Control Panel > Printers> HP Color Laser or name of your printer) verify that your printer is seen as the "Default" printer and that it isn't currently selected to work "Offline".

If it shows that it is the "Default" printer, and it is NOT selected to "work offline", then let's try the next step. If for some reason it isn't the "Default" printer, you can select it to be so. If for some reason it shows that it is "Offline" uncheck that selection.

Under your printer "Properties" (right click on your printer, bottom selection on the drop down menu) you will have a "Self Test" button. Click this button (only once), observe your printer and see if it prints a test page.

If your printer shows no error messages, all cables are secured (always double check), your printer doesn't show it is offline in the printers queue, it properly prints the test page then at this point it should be working correctly.

If the steps I have mentioned above don't work, please provide more detail as to the printer model, any changes that you have recently made (software installed, cartridges changed, etc.) and we will find you a solution.

We re-filled the toner cartridge and re-installed it, but the red light indicating toner low keeps blinking, also the computor is telling us toner is low

Just refilling the cartridge may not resolve the low toner message. Many cartridges have a sensor chip that must be reset to clear the message. Due to this, many people opt to buy replacements or refurbished cartridges that have had the sensor chip reset.

Printing

Most of the time, CMYK printers only work in conjunction of one another. If one cartridge is missing, it will require all of the missing or empty cartridges be replaced.

So, you'll need to purchase some more ink.
