Are they wavy lines throughout the picture or are they just wavy on the side? Waving picture is usually caused by poor power supply filtering. Wavy lines throughout the picture are caused by interference. Try moving the device away from the computer with an extension USB cable it may be picking up interference from the surrounding electronic devices. It could also be defective.
It sounds that the main power supply section to your TV has the fault. The horizontal thik lines that appears crawling down across the screen should be of video 'HUM'. Have you replaced the main filter capacitor at the power supply section? If not, replace it along with the main rectifier. The AC power is rectifed by a bridge and applied ot this main filter capcitor. It will have a capacitance value between 120 to 350MFD 450VDC. Check this section. Measure the rectifed DC voltage acorss this main filter capacitor. It should be around 350VDC, if your home power supply line is 220VAC. If it is 110AC, this DC voltage will be around 165VDC; and it should be. If rectified DC voltage found lower than the input AC voltage, replace the rectifier bridge. In some sets, this bridge section have four diodes. Some other circuits, a bridge rectifier stalk may be used.
The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it is dead.Tv have any colors lines R,G,B mis alignments, have any colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than the tv convergence board it is dead, convergence board must require changes 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board to fixed the tv convergence picture problems. The tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
your problem is most probably in convergence circuit. very common for this model to have convergence output i.c.'s go bad also possible that a fused resistor or two has failed.
A problem like yours is NORMALLY NOT the TV set's fault....it's the Cable.
I'll bet you see thin lines moving across the entire picture...they are slanted like this >> \ \ \ \
That's generally caused by a bad ground on the antenna cable OR it can be the cable box's MODULATOR.
Try using your VIDEO OUTPUT off of your Cable box and see if the wavy lines are still present. If they are the Cable box needs swapped with a good unit.
You can also verify this problem by checking your TV with a DVD player...no lines indicate the TV is fine.
If you have problems with the DVD player's picture, then you must have dried out filtering capacitors on the Video board IN the TV set...
And THAT is not an easy fix if you do see lines with your DVD player.
Check out this site. These TV's are known for the CRT's going bad. This site shows how to make adjustments that could help extend the life of your set. Take a look at the first picture, if the lines look like the ones in the picture this site "should" help. The picture shows a problem with the red but don't worry about the color, look at the lines. I hope this helps.

Did the TV get pink with the wavy lines all at once, or did it start out gradual? If all of a sudden, then a defective part on the CRT control board or the picture tube itself could be going bad along with some components in the video section of the set. Probably not a cheap and easy fix I'm afraid.
