Remove the toner in the printer and clean the printer where the toner reside. Don' t use water or any liquid just use tissue paper or cotton cloth maybe there is debris or clogged ink . Because sometimes the toner ink is leakages or stack in the roller of the toner

I have a grey/black line all the way down the right hand side of the page

Run a half test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something, anything
When the paper is 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover.
Pull out the toner cartridge. Look down at the paper.
Does it have a black line on the right side?
If yes, replace the cartridge. If no, replace the fuser.

DARK LINES/SHADES APPEARING ON BACK OF PRINTS

when the print-out shows lines or streaks on the back of the paper when printing single sidedly, this usually means that the fusing unit is dirty or broken. another possible broken part may be the photoconductor unit.
