DVD Drive Issue

By NoviceIL on Apr 15, 2008

As soon as I put a blank DVD in to my Optiarc AD-7170A drive, it burns something to the disk as it opens a new window, that would allow me to drag & drop content to this disk. Problem is I am trying to burn a DVD through Pinnacle Studio 10.7, and it just locks up or completely and abruptly reboots?

If the drag and drop feature of the system is working to burn DVDs , this means that the drive is working as designed . You are facing a problem with a software conflict.
Try the following steps
1. Uninstall and Reinstall the Pinnacle studio 10.7
2. Go to Control panel >User > Try creating a new user account and login using the same after rebooting the system,

3. this file will automatically remove the Upper & Lower Filters from the windows registery. (Saves a lot of time!!).

Scroll down a bit and you will find a download link that says; "Download guided help", just click on it and save the file on the desktop and double click to run the utility. It's fast easy and safe.
The above file tends to delete duplicate entery for the burner in the registery.

If none of the above things work, you may have to reinstall windows to take care of the conflict of the software .

Thanks
