Question about Audio Players & Recorders
My Sony MDS JE-320 decided to stop recording. It works otherwise; actually everything else works. It even show the red REC message while recording and it goes trough the entire proccessbut...at the end when the TOC finnishes blinking, it shows me "blank disk" or empty.
I thought these things either work or don't so I am totally puzelled of what can be wrong. It was not exposed to extreme temperatures, no shock and no abuse of any kind.
please, if anyone can give a helping ideea, write me.
This is a common problem with the overwrite head on these units. There is a two wire connection going to it which fails after a couple of years of service. Or for some reason the overwrite head does not make contact to the MD disk surface, it is suppose to when recoding or writing the TOC.
This overwrite head assembly is very very delicate, provided you feel comfortable to work on it you can probably fix it. Or find a local electronics technician to help you with that.
Do some reading on the Minidisc Forum
Hope this helps
