2003 Hotpoint stove. I started a self-clean cycle and after 20 mintues, I heard beeping and saw code F2. Internet said that F2 meant that door latch was open and temp was up to 590. I double checked latch and it was closed. I reset the self-clean cycle and let it complete. After cycle was complete, the oven door would not open. I turned off the circuit breaker--no open; turned circuit breaker back on--no go. Solution: Lift burner top to expose the latch opening. Use flashlight in opening and you will see latch spring and mechanism. Jiggle latch and you will see the lock behind it. Using a spatula or thin strong tool, slip it into the opening and push lock down while pushing latch left. Door will open easily.
