The display language is preset to English. To change the language, from the standby screen, press Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Language. Choose from English, Espa?ol (Spanish), or Chinese for both the screen text and input language. Note: If you accidentally change your language to Espa?ol and need to reset it to English, from the standby screen, press Menu 9 5 2, select English, and press the OK key.
Press TOOLS (The spanner icon on the bottom right corner of the page with WHERE TO and VIEW MAP) I know this might take a little trial and error since it's in Spanish but should be possible.
Press SETTINGS (the spanner icon).

This brings you to a screen with 3 items; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD To change the voice prompts to English press VOICE and select an English voice. To change the text to English press TEXT and select English or American English if you're in the USA If you press the KEYBOARD icon also select English

Then press SETTINGS, (the spanner icon) or on some models LOCALE (Blue Icon at the top left corner) replaces the SETTINGS icon

4 To change from English to Spanish, press

To change from Spanish to English, press
English.
• The display changes to the selected language.
• You can also select a language by pressing [up] or
[down].
5 When Spanish is selected, press Salvar, then press [OFF].
When English is selected, press Save, then press [OFF].

This may be a result of a previous software
version on a device or possibly some one changing the settings. If a device
does power on with a foreign language that you can not understand it can be
corrected by going through the settings to change the text language. To change the text language:
Touch Wrench icon
on the screen with the Magnifying Glass and Map icon
Touch the Gears
icon
Touch the down arrow
Touch the second
option from the top1
Touch the middle blue
box on right
Touch the up arrow
until American English appears2
Touch American
English
Touch OK
Touch Back
The device should be in selected text language. Note 1 - In some cases, if there are Custom POIs
loaded to the device then it may be the first option at the top. Note 2 - If American English is not the language
needed, please selected the desired language
