Question about Fuji FinePix S9000 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

Evil flash there is either something wrong with my flash or the light meter, but 99% of the time when i go to take a picture, the flash goes off. hood up or down, it doesn't matter. it seems that the only time the flash doesn't go off is in extremely bright light, i called customer support and was basically told to send it away for a million years to have it repaired, but is there possibly a more simple solution?

It appears that there is something wrong with the sensor that senses when the pop-up flash is up or down. Try cleaning the whole area with compressed air, especially the little gaps in the mechanism. The part that is defective costs next to nothing, but it's extremely fiddly to replace, and that is why it might take a while.

If it's still in warrantee, it may be worth getting it repaired anyway - you don't want to fix it yourself and then have the problem come back after the warranty runs out!

Good luck.

No brake lights on 99 chevy cavlier

So you changed the brake switch under the brake pedal. It's a simple momentary switch. Did you check it for power to the connector before you changed it? You checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood of the car? It's pretty straight forward as far as the brake wiring is concerned. Did you remove the bulbs and make sure your sockets are clean and free of corrosion? Did you hold the brake down with a brick or something and go to the tail lights and use a meter on them for power? Did you look under the brake pedal and actually see the switch actuating back and forth as you pushed the brake pedal? Oh and don't check the fuses visually, use a volt meter. Sometimes they look good but aren't.

The blinking light may be telling you the picture you want is out of the camera's range. You may have to increase the ISO, shoot at a slower shutter speed, or open the lens aperture.

My battery keeps draining down at night it's a 99 dodge durango

you have something draining the battery, check for any lights that might be staying on,interior light, stop light under the hood light(if any),glove box light trunk light, if you have a multimeter with amp testing capability or an amp meter you can check where the drain is by removing each fuse & put the probes on each side the terminals until you find a drainage, that way you might be able to find out what is draining the power & rectify it......hope this helps......cheers

If the alternater output drops when the rpm's increase
you may have a slipping belt. Stop at a parts store
autozone/napa/ or advance. They will put meter on it
for free. Hope this helps.

My 99' volvo v70 continually flashes the traction control and abs warning light and the speedometer stops working the trip meter and the odometer go blank than all of a sudden it will start working again...

Sounds like a bad ABS control module is at least part of your problem. The symptoms are usually and ABS and TRACS light intermittent or constand and eventually your speedometer works intermittently or totally quits. This guy rebuilds/upgrades them for about $140. New ones run over $800. http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/Volvo_Parts/Volvo_ABS_removal.htm

When ever i take a picture, the orange light turns on acting like its going to take a picutre but it doesnt. When i take it off flash, it takes the picture.

The orange light blinking means the flash is charging, once the light goes off you can go ahead take picture with flash. Your light keeps blinking because the flash is not ready.
Try with fully charged batteries. If it won’t work, you may have an open fuse or something wrong with the flash circuit.
