Magellan maestro 4250

Two problems with the Maestro 4250:
1. recently surfaced two small 1cm and 0.5 cm size sky fireworks like black spots from inside the screen and could not be scraped out from outside.

2. a) My Sprint Samsung A900 phone is paired, works when I call from my cell and other party answers, I close my cell and able to talk via the Maestro. But, when some one calls, I could not answer through GPS. It says no paired phone found.
b) When I tap on the phone symbol on the Maestro screen, same thing, no paired phone is found. I pair again and try to dial out, it tries and says "SMS can not be used" or something like that.
In essence, my pairing is not being retained and can not use the Maestro to receive or dial out or send SMS or receive them.
How do I fix these problems? I e-mailed to Magellan Professional Staff few times and no one replied to me.
