I am unable to format a DVD-RW disc on my Windows XP computer

Typically, you use DVD/CD writing software to write files to the disc.
There is no 'formatting' involved.
If, however, you want to use a DVD/RW disc as a "big floppy" then you need special software for that. What software came with your DVD writer? or You can use free "Nero InCD", -> Download

Hope it helps.

Note**
For OS XP, you must have at least, WinXP Service Pack 2 installed.

Problem in office 2007 setup

HI Deb,
You will need to update windows to service pack3 first. Then once completed click "start" and open "control panel" and then "Add Remove programs-software" Scroll through list of installed software and identify all and only the office related components "select" each component individually then click "remove/uninstall" Remove all previous installed office components, starting with the smallest sized file to the largest, once completed restart your machine and try the office install disk again. See below for service pack three download info and links:

Download the service pack manually You can use Windows Update or the Microsoft Download Center to obtain Windows XP SP3 online. Check for updates on Windows Update loadTOCNode(4, 'moreinformation'); To check for updates on Windows Update, follow these steps:

I have windows vista and am unable to install software for my dau

The software was written for windows XP or vista, so it will not work for you. Heres what you can do to get the photos on the computer. Get a card reader, take out the media card and use the card reader to download the images.

Adobe has a program that you can use to edit your photos. Here's a link

Unable to run Auto Installation Support CD, or Boot System

Is the new motherboard the same model with the one you have replaced. If so, there should have no problem on it. If it is different model, then you have to reconfigure the software installed such as the driver. your new motherboard surely has the CD included where the necessary software should be installed. But, the problem is that you cannot get to the WindowsXP screen..

Windows XP CD is also bootable.. Now in the bios setup there is a portion there that tells about on how to boot whether in drive a, hard disk or cd. Choose CD and inser the bootable Windows XP. In that way you should be able to get to the XP screen. Of course, you have to restart it to make the necessary changes but before that make sure you have saved the changes youve made to the bios setup.

Now if youre able to go to the main screen, uninstall software that are with your old motherboard and install the new one.

Hope to solve your problem.
