Changing my name

In facebook, top right you'll see a little icon dropdown arrow, click that and then click "Settings". from there select in the window that comes up "Name" either by clicking name or the edit button. There you will see where you can back out current name and add your new name. remember to click Save changes - sometimes it takes a few minutes for the change to take place on facebook's side.

Open your account settings. Log in to Facebook and click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the page. Select "Account Settings".

  Click on your name to open the name editor. You can enter a First, Middle, and Last name, as well as an Alternate name (such as a nickname or maiden name).
  • Your name can only be changed four times.
  • Facebook wants you to list your name as it appears on your credit card or ID.
  • You cannot use symbols, numbers, random capitalization, or punctuation.
  • Your middle name cannot be words or phrases.
  • Nicknames should be variations on your real name (Jim instead of James, Meg instead of Megan, etc.)[1]

  Enter your real name. Facebook does not allow you to impersonate someone else, or create a page for a fictional character. Accounts found in violation of this will be forced to change the name.
  • If you want to create an account for an organization, business, or a pet, you will need to create a Facebook Page.

  Enter your password. To change your name, you will need to enter your password into the box before you are allowed to save your changes.

  Click Save Changes. Your new name will be saved, and the change will reflect on your Profile shortly. It can take up to 24 hours for a name change to be approved

Password you should be able to change thru forgotten pwd. You can then reset a new one. But user id is a problem sometime if it is other than email address.

you need to request change last name of yours and then facebook management will either approve it or not..make sure it is not too far to your name that was registered...
go to facebook.com>account settings>click on change>it will give you the form that you need to fill up then 24hours for name change to take effect
regarding relationship status just go to profile>on the top right side click on the edit profile>then on the left side click on featured people then it will give you the form to fill up...dont forget to save changes after you change the relationships status

Please note that Facebook account names must adhere to the following authenticity standards:

• Your full first and last name must be listed. Initials cannot stand in place of your full name. Nicknames can be listed if they are a variation of your first or last name, but only in the format "First Name 'Nickname' Lastname."
• Your name must be listed using characters from one language only.
• Your name cannot consist of any titles, symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, or punctuation.

Impersonating anyone or anything is not permitted. To encourage people to use their real names on Facebook, they limit the number of times names can be changed. Also, if a Facebook representative changes your name for you, this change is considered final and you can't manually change your name afterwards. To list another name you go by, such as a maiden name, please go to the Account Settings page.

go to edit profile
then to personal informationi
delete your last name that you have now and input your married last name
then press save

Login to Facebook then choose Account -> Account Settings -> Change Name
Note the Account link is in the top right corner of the page.

• I'm trying to sign up for a new account to use as a personal profile: While signing up for a personal profile, please ensure that your full name does not contain any invalid punctuation and that it contains a full last name. If you're still having problems signing up for a personal profile, please submit a report.

On the right hand corner of your facebook page you will see the account tab. Please click in the following sequence : Account - Account Settings - Name - Change - Last name .Here you have to change your last name to your maiden name. It will take approx 24 hours for changes to take effect as per FB guidelines.
