There are several brands of staples that will fit your stapler and the price will vary according to the depth of staple you are looking to buy. Arrow brand staples are the most common. All the ones I saw that fit the 9700 are Wide Crown Swingline Heavy Duty Arrow 606 Wide Crown Swingline Heavy Duty 3 8 Inch Staples 1 000 Pack
The replacement pack for this gun say the staples are compatible with "Craftsman 68514 and 68517; Arrow Brand T50 Staplers T50 and T55; and Stanley/Bostitch TR110 and BT110 staple guns", so I assume they are also backwards compatible. That's just an assumption though.

Push in the push rod plate on
the back of the Arrow T50P and press down to unclip the push rod from
the gun. Pull the push rod out of the staple channel and away from the
staple gun.

Insert a strip of staples into the channel with the tips of the staples pointing toward the bottom of the staple gun.

Place the end of the push rod
into the staple channel of the gun. The end of the push rod has a small,
solid piece of metal that fits into the staple channel.

Press the rod all the way into the staple gun until the rod plate engages in the notch at the rear of the gun.
Howdy, I don't have pictures, but that model is loaded from the bottom (not the back,as one might expect) while the plunger is pulled to the rear then pushed back in once the staples are laid in the track on the bottom. Handy once you get used to it:)
