I have Asus Motherboard VIA VT8237R chipset, I have install related drivers for audio in windowsxp sp2, it showing proper working in device manager & speaker icon in task manager, but it not giving audio to speaker, what can I do for it pls. help

first right click my computer then click properties then hardware then device manager scroll down to sound, audio and vedio controllers and see wether any is marked with yellow question mark or red X if its yellow question mark it means the driver is not installed properly if red X it means the device is disabled if red cross then right click the device and click enable if yellow question mark make sure you install the reight drivers after correcting this then click start setting control panel click sound and audio device then remove the tick mardk in the mute and click the volume to high and play some music

i want vt8237r vga driver plz help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

go to drivers dot com and wade trouhg all the adversities and download the drivers you need or just go to the manufacture website or go to freewarefiles.com and download pcwizard and check it and it will advize you of the proper places for the drivers you need

I would try the realtek audio driver instead. there are two different audio drivers for that board. Here is the link:

select the socket 775 then look for the p5kpl board then look in the audio section and select the realtek driver

I have lost my VIA VT8237r motherboard CD, thats reason i cant install/support sound card (& VGA/ AGP card).So, I need VIA VT8237r driver soft. Pls. solve me.

ok i have encounterd such a problem myself , it works on some systems but just give it a try , download the "soundmax digital intigrated audio" pack , it comes with audio drivers and all neccesary software

after BIOS flash and driver updated go into the control panel > admin. settings > computer managment > device manager then look at the USB section and update the drivers!!

 

rerstart and volla!
