Question about Cell Phones
No, the carrier has updated the perfered roaming list(prl.c). This update will render your phone almost useless. Maybe have the internal software updated to be current with the new prl changes.

Correction. I got a new battery for mine and it did not solve the problem. I think it is something internal. Time for a new phone. I had to let go of mine today. Very tough letting go of a 5 1/2 year old phone.

I just got that same error message. I think it's a signal for a dying battery =(
