I have a flip Pure digital. Last week I could record up to 40 mins on my flip and now it only reads 13mins of recordable time. How do I get those lost mins back?

1) Put your Flip Ultra back into the pakaging box
2) Keep it safely inside your fridge (make sure the fridge isnt on or the best is an old fridge model)
3) Scratch your head and scratch your nuts in the same time for thirty second
4) Turn on your Flip camera, press the red button for setting, and change it to indonesian language. If no indonesian language in the setting, shake it 3 times. It surely has.
5) Jumping around on your parent bed.
6) Sing Britney Spears song and film it yourself.
7) Press stop button
8) Post it on youtube.
I hope this will fix ya problem. Have a nice day :)
the format in your camera is RAW once its transfered to the PC it is upconverted to a Mpg,Mov or AVI after witch it was not 30 mins in s the first place it was only half that.
Editing a video to say 30 mins can be done in windows movie maker, you might need to add some content to it tho.
The other purpose for this is so you can upload the video to youtube without a time limit restriction.
UNIT: ultraHD PROBLEM: I just had this problem: I turned it on, started to record a video, but it hung up on frame #1, with the record red light stuck on. And I couldn't do any of the following: restart the recording, play already recorded videos, turn it off, connect to PC. SOLUTION: I removed the battery for about 30 seconds, then replaced it. my UltraHD flip works great now.
There's a hidden Reset button at the bottom of the Flip Mino. At the bottom of the camera, there is a screw base a tripod. Inside of that screw base there is a little hole. Use a paperclip and poke it into the hole. Hold it there for 7 seconds. You may need to repeat this process 3-4 times. This should shut down the video camera.
Easy Fix bro, same thing happened to my mino when I let my friends fool around with it.
Soulution:See the tripod mount, theirs a little hole in it,and thats what your gonna use to fix it.Just get something small I recomend a paperclip, and bend it into an S shape.Put the point of it in that little hole,it triggers a restart for the camera, and boom! Its fixed.Worked for me.Proved by the Flip Company.
Hope this helps
I took the battery out and then connected to the computer and It recognized it. So I was able to upload videos. I have three flip camera, only one has this glitch. I am going to try the remove battery for 48 hours route so to restore it to how it used to work.JMR
I have had this exact problem. The Flip Camera read "empty" however if I tried to record something by pressing the red button, the camera read "full." I started having this problem and kept on seeing fewer and fewer minutes available to record. Today, I was trying to shoot and then uploaded three videos. I could use the camera no more. So, I did as you suggested...plug the camera in to my Mac and then emptied the trashcan. It WORKED!! I got all sixt minutes back.
This may sound risky, but I did this and my Camera is working perfectly again... If you don't have any videos on it you need to salvage too badly this should do the trick.
1) Plug it in (obviously) 2) Go to My Computer and right click your video camera 3) Click Format 4) I clicked restore device defaults because it sounded safe (but may not be necessary) 5) Click start and begin the reformatting
After this i went from my incorrect 27:11 min. remaining on the camera to the full 60. Still records perfectly and the software is still on it and works correctly. Hope it helps some of you out there =)
take it or ship it to video tech service. they will clear it and go from there. it may need some tension adustments in addition. The guy there is super cool.
