check storage mode: 
should be 'phone mode/card mode', not SIM mode

If the text inbox is full, just go into it, & delete the old messages that you don't need to save. The phone will only save so many bits of information, before it is full, & will stop saving messages.

make sure your service provider plan, includes, email message service
motorola hint has aol, gmail yahoo. included

select a message, click option, unlock.

it will have to be sent to motorola for repair , may be under warrenty , may have water damage . ?

Same problem here!!! I was in the middle of a text and it shut down outta no where then i turn it back on and it just flashes the purple circled M at me....I dont have a warranty on my phone but luckily I called alltel and they sent me a box to send the phone back and they are replacing it free of charge. I love the hint its my favorite phone of all the phones ive had....alltel always satisfies its customers in the end and ill definatly give the hint another chance...bottom line...call alltel have them send you the return box and mail it to them wait a week and you got a new phone!! good luck!
