My 47" phillips plasma tv doesn't want to turn on a litle red light up at the front is flashing red? what is the problem?

hi i have a pioneer plasma tv pdpro4e all it doses is flash green red green red and on the mediar reciver as well tv dont come on help please

Had a similar problem with my Sony. Unplug for 36 hours and try again.

You have to bad compacitors on the power board. They will be buldged on the top. Once replace you TV will live again. The parts will cost you about $4

Common short the cover cap over the video & sound boards short out if you remove it the cap only (shield metal) it usually will fix this

According to " Consumer Affairs. com", the problems with seris of Phillips plasmas are innumberable. And they all start with the flashing red light, from 3 - 7 times. Baased on the information you gave, there is something wrong with the TV itself, not your perifrials. I would contact Phillips/ Magnavox to see if they will pay for an authorized sevice center visit, or even ship you a part to solve the problem.

if your vizo p4 blinks red 10 times its your power supply board ckeck your two fuses on the board,if those are not bad change your power supply board if you can find a board for that model vizio p4 .the phillips tv uses the same board
