The memory specification for your workstation is here:

You can remove the 1GB modules and replace with 2*2GB modules to give 4GB and you are correct in that you will need to use a 64-bit operating system to fully utilise 4GB or more.

Hope this helps,

My samsung v25 is too slow for my likings cant do nought on it it takes ages and cant download as it takes ages how can i solve all this

Best bet would be to add ram. Open the back panel and read 2 numbers. The PC___ and the amount of ram in MB. you can go about buying more ram that way though you must have the same PC number like " PC 2700 " but you can usually get 2 GBs in a machine if its pc 2700 or above.

I have recently upgraded the memory on my sons scenic p300 but cant get the system to boot ...... any ideas

Did you use PC2100 (266MHz), PC2700 (333MHz), or PC3200 (400MHz) RAM? Also, the RAM has to be "Unbuffered" RAM. Unbuffered means that the memory is accessed directly from the Memory Controller and not being cached. Explaining all of that will take a long time, so I won't try to attempt that. Just know that the RAM you use has to be unbuffered. Also, Your computer can only handle a maximum of 4 GBs of RAM. Do you have another computer available that you can try your new RAM in? If so, then I would try putting it in another computer to see if it works there. If it does, then perhaps the BIOS of your motherboard needs to be updated. You can go to Fujitsu to check if there are any available BIOS updates. Be very careful when Flashing (updating) your BIOS. If not done correctly, or if it is interrupted after the Flash begins, then you could end up with a paper-weight. Oh, just in case you don't know this: RAM is highly sensitive to static electricity, and electro-static shock (the poke you get when you touch certain things). If your RAM gets a static shock\charge then it will likely be junk afterwards!

RAM is installed, but lap top does not read it

The 6735s requires DDR2 SODIMM chips clocked at 800 MHz and they must be installed two at a time (so a 2 Gb chip won't work - you need 2 1 Gb chips. Installing 2 + 1 Gbs will give you 2 Gbs only, (1+1), that is if the PC even boots at all; and so on).

Also, not all operative systems will read the full amount of RAM installed.

Asrock P4V8+ freezes after ram checking

Try going into the BIOS and selecting safe or minimal settings/options save and reboot. If this works go back to BIOS and make changes one at a time until it may not work again, then you will know which option is causing the system hang ups. My guess is also your motherboard is SATA 1 capable (1.5
gbs) not SATA 2, in which you could purchase a separate controlller card for your HDD. Good luck.

Hello, according to your boards manual page 38 you will have to use unbuffered memory (non-ecc) and depending on which OS your are gonna use, it might address up to 3 GBs of (SDRAM) my personal preferrence is 3x1 GBs with XP Pro 32 bits. The CPU you mentioned should work just fine, and with the added memory your rig should provide you better performance, hope this little bit of info helps.
