If it is a projection t.v its not recomended because if picture burn in unless your game has alot of action and changing scenery than it should b fine but something like guitar hero or games with the same scenery for long periods of time it is not great

Yes,but just don't pause the game's or leave the game without playing for a long time like about 1 to 3 hours.Because DLP tvs and Plasma tvs have higher rate picture screen burn in.The image burn in,the tv picture screen panel are useless, because there no way to get rid of the previous images burn in.

Playing Games on HDMI on projetion TV.

Dear aaashleee_x3,
No, it won't hurt your TV. The new games will shut down after a short period of time in the pause mode and the games are fast moving, not like tho old Pac Man games.

Thanks for using FixYa and Merry Christmas, big IRISH.

Is playing video games bad for my TV

Absolutely not. Your set is the safest type of tv to play games on. Plasma sets are the worst type to play games on due to screen burn in. You are good to go.

Can i play video games on my hitachi projection tv

Playing video games on projection TV's is a very bad idea. It can cause damage to the picture tubes ("pattern burn"). Most projection TV manuals and video game manuals specifically mention you should not do this. Your husband is right.
