Question about Logitech Z-2300 Computer Speakers

My right speaker from my z-2300 stop working.

Hi! my subject tells the problem already but i want to know if there is anyway of making my right speaker from my z-2300 work. i bought them 2 days ago and barely used them and today i was playing music on the system (i put the music on full a couple of times). and later when i come back from another room i don't hear my right speaker playing anything or making any sound. i tried turning it off, unplugging it. everything possible but only 1 idea worked but i think it's bad. When i pressed the speaker the black part, it made the sound of the music but when i let it go, it was silent again. i don't know what is wrong and would definitely appreciate any help. i am also concerned if i can't fix the problem, should i exchange the speakers for new ones again. thank you very much

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere inside that particular speaker. You could open it up to check for a loose or separated solder joint. The safe option would be to return to place of purchase and exchange for a new set.

My satellite speakers are no longer working, logitech do not issue replacement satellites. Do you know if their is a way to use alternative sattelites with the subwoofer?

the back of the sub has 2 rca connections for left and right speakers so all you have to do is either find satellites that use rca connections or find or make your own "clip-on" or detachable wire to rca connection.

Hi, My friend left me his Z-2300 sub but lost the speakers that go along with the system. What speakers are the best replacement for the sub? which dont involve me soldering any wires!

I don't know which would be best but my recommendation to you is go shop around on the internet or in stores and find some good quality 2.0 (2 speakers without a subwoofer) computer speakers. If the speakers don't already have RCA connections it is easy to find a 3.5mm to RCA cable connector. Let me know if you want me to clarify that....audio lingo is very confusing sometimes!

Can I turn the Logitech z-2300 to a 4.1 speaker system?

You will need a separate pair of powered speakers to do that, plugged separately. The quality of the sound will remain the same on the front ones, the overall quality will depend on the new ones.

I have a logitech z-2300 speaker system, one of the speakers (left) sound goes in and out and has been for a while, so is not completely blown. Is there anyway to fix this before its too late...?

its a problem with the speaker, if you could possibly change out the wire, I would suggest that cause there could be a break in the speaker.

If you can't do that then the speaker needs to be replaced.

Hooking up a Logitech Z-2300 subwoofer to a Yamaha RX-V392 receiv

This is the exact same setup im lookng at, just a different Yamaha receiver (RX-V663). Since the 3.5mm headphone jack and and the sub preout are both 'line level' you just need to pick up a male RCA to female 3.5mm jack converter from radioshack. I'd expect it to be around $5-8.

I have already stripped my old 5.1 HTIB system rca connector to use the surround speakers with my receiver. They work but are cheap speakers. Im tempted to do something similar with the z-2300 speakers, much higher quality, but I would definitely use a converter instead of stripping to keep them backwards compatible.

LED light fades as soon as turned on and no sound

Hi Umphreak
It is bad resistor issue on your logitech speakers, has to replace them. (or) the power for your mac mini, its not very AMP good, for them.
try in another PC and see if work fine the speakers.
