SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My hd 6y080p0 maxtor shows in device manager but does not show in explorer as a usable drive. I am trying to use this HD as a slave drive.

Hello,
You will just Change the pata cable as new or fit to HDD tightly and restart the PC.If the problem is same, your HDD parturition has been corrupted unfortunately. so you need to format again from >my computer>manege>disk manager >and format.
If you don't want to loss data dowmnload ontrack boot cd and recover the partition.

Windows Xp Setup Problem : "setup cannot access the disk". I have HDD: Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 80GB ATA/133 HDD.

try doing a F disk on the hard drive first then format it and make it the active drive and then try installing the xp software. if it has had another operating system say for instance windows ME it will not install on that drive without removing it. You can also go to www.maxtor.com and download their free hard drive tools to see if there is a problem that thier software can fix. the software is for free.

Hdd c: problem

Quick format only marks the disc as empty.
Try performing a CHKDSK /F /X /R C:
also do a full format next time, you may want to replace the hard drive, or you could try a program like HDD REGENERATOR or SPINRITE to fix it. These programs may not fix the hard drive as if it is too damaged but they may help in some problems.

Dropped my Maxtor 80GB USB HDD, ouch. Salvage my data?

Check out Maxtor for analysis tools and referrals of course. There are books out there on exactly what to do, but of course there are also firms who will offer to recover data you didn't back up for a price (ca. $400, say; it's not wild competition there, somehow.)
