Panasonic DMR-E85H Chapters question ....

By Melissa - usenet poster

Hi all ....

I purchased one of these fabulous machine yesterday , and tried some HD to
disc burning from last nights T.V . I time recorded the RAGE Top 20 to Hard
Drive with no problems . I then partial erased with no problems to get rid
of the end bits ..

But what I don't understand is when I've gone back in and inserted chapters
(at the beginning of the songs) . It looks and works as it should off the
hard drive but when I burnt to disc I found playing the disc that the
chapters are in places I didn't put them at . Can anyone tell me (that has
one of these machines or that has had this problem themselves) what I've
done wrong ...

Thanks in advance ...   c];-)

Hi,

I noticed that as well. It seems to insert chapters every 5 mins onto the
DVD-R

It appears to loose a bit of info after the burn. Eg I noticed that the
thumbnail changed as well. Even though I could go and change it back it
doesnt appear to keep that info.

What type of media are you using. I am trying a couple with limited success.
Certainly I got my free Panasonic RAM disks but I want to be able to get a
good DVD-R disk. I was trying to find some of the Panasonic brand but I cant
appear to find them in the shops.

kick ass , once I learn a couple of editing tricks . I'll be as happy as a
pig in s%$t .   :)

I got mine for $1230 with 25 TDK blanks thrown in .......... So don't pay
more than that . They might be cheaper out there but don't pay more than I ,
as I've seen them for up to $1,399 at good old Harvey Norman ..

Sorry KRU?LER, can't answer your question, but I am about to buy one of
these today. I tend to suffer 'buyers remorse' when I buy shit like this
because it's not a necessity. Anyway, are you happy with yours? No regrets,
etc, etc???
